Roll up your sleeve and get ready to be vaccinated
During COVID-19 pandemic, vaccination continues to be critically important and one of the things that every individuals needed. When we get vaccinated, we aren’t just protecting ourselves, but also those people around us.
Why do you need to be vaccinated?
COVID-19 vaccinations have been shown in studies to be effective in preventing COVID-19 infection. Even if you do contract COVID-19, getting vaccinated against it will help you avoid becoming extremely ill. Vaccine imitate the virus that leads to the disease to trigger antibody creation. With antibodies, the person will be protected once exposed to the acual virus. Also, remember that having a vaccine does not support only yourself but also those people around you, such as those who are at higher risk of serious disease from COVID-19 or who are unable to get vaccinated — such as infants or those with poor immune systems.
Another benefit of it is that once you’re fully vaccinated for COVID-19, you can safely resume many activities that you did prior to the pandemic, without having to wear a mask.
How do we get vaccinated against COVID-19?
The government is currently in the initial phase of vaccine rollout with the availability of Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Sputnik V vaccines in the country. Likewise, the country is in the advanced stages of negotiations with the COVAX Facility and various other vaccine manufacturers.
The national government is working in partnership with our local governments to get the vaccines to you. Your local government unit will arrange for the registration and scheduling of vaccination. People age 18 and older but under 59 are eligible to take the vaccine.

Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and Sputnik V are the vaccines present in the country. With a total of 6, 314, 548 vaccine doses administered, the Philippines remained 2nd in the vaccination administration among 10 ASEAN countries in Asia, and 32nd out of 196 countries globally as of June 9, 2021

• Once you are fully vaccinated, you can do many of the things you stpped doing during the pandemic.

• Vaccines are tested in ten of thousands of people so it is sure to be safe.
• You may feel temporary reactions like sore arm, fever, headache or feeling tired and achy for a day or two after receiving the vaccine.
• Vaccines can't track you, affect your DNA, damage your fertility, or give you Covid- 19.
• The vaccines are free for everyone, even if you don't have health insurance.
